Building on its international success, the Sherbrooke-based firm Milan Conception is doubling the square footage of its facilities to better meet the demands of its customers. Along with this expansion, 15 new jobs will be created in the coming year.
In all, 13,000 square feet will be set in motion to manufacture equipment, while nearly 5,000 square feet will be set aside for the administration and design teams. Work on the expansion has begun and should be completed by November 2016. This is a new expansion phase for Milan Conception, barely two years following its establishment in the Sherbrooke Regional Industrial Park.
This new addition is in line with Milan Conception’s development plan, with the aim to expand its product offering: “With this type of investment, we will have more flexibility and control over the quality of our products, in addition to enabling Milan Conception to offer new products to its partners,” state Benoit Langlois and Steeve Michaud, co-founders of Milan Conception.
At least 10 jobs will be created this year, with 5 more planned for 2017.
