Within the framework of recognizing businesses that work together with academic institutions like universities, colleges and government research agencies, Soucy Baron and its partner, the CDCQ (Centre de développement des composites du Québec) affiliated with the CEGEP de Saint-Jérôme were honoured yesterday by the ADRIQ (Association du développement de la recherche et l’innovation du Québec) for their project to innovate a composite part for a snowmobile.

The firm, which operates factories in France since 1984, has just opened a North American subsidiary in Quebec, in Sainte-Julie on Montréal’s South Shore. The company’s president, Frédéric Picard, will participate on the cluster’s committee. Let’s give them a big welcome!
Building on its international success, the Sherbrooke-based firm Milan Conception is doubling the square footage of its facilities to better meet the demands of its customers. Along with this expansion, 15 new jobs will be created in the coming year.
